FOKUS ISRAEL

Each year, within the framework of the INTERNATIONAL SECTION, ClipAward devotes particular attention to a specific country or region and its independent short film scene. This year's FESTIVAL FOCUS is dedicated to the filmic landscape of Israel.

The FESTIVAL FOCUS is comprised of three sections:

The FESTIVAL FOCUS is organized with the special support of , Haifa Cinematheque, and Revital 'Ray-V' Elkayam.

 

The cooperation with our Israeli partners will continue in autumn 2013 at ClipAward GOES Israel!

YARON TEN BRINK
A journalist with a professional experience of twenty years as well as one of Israel's leading cultural critics focusing mainly on Television and Israeli documentaries.Yaron will host the workshop The Occupation and the Israeli Documentary: A Love Story

KOBY HADOUR
An animator with a degree from Bezalel Academy of Art & Design, focusing on 2D Animation, Cut-Out Flash Animation, and After Effects Post Production.

Koby is one of the makers of the film In Space from our official selection.

YANIV EIDELSTEIN
A renowned film and TV translator and a self-proclaimed distributor of the Israeli feature film "Ha-Trempist" aka "The Hitchhiker" aka "An AmericanHippie in Israel" (1971).

Yaniv will tell the story about how he discovered the unreleased English-speaking exploitation film in 2007 and how the film has become a cult that attracts large audiences at midnight screenings.
